ms. perfection

On the heels of his breakout single “By Myself,” the Grammy®-nominated singer-songwriter, Alvin Garrett, is back with a hot new ladies’ anthem entitled, Ms. Perfection. Along with Dave and Gerald Langford of Tag Team Entertainment, Garrett has written and immaculately produced an instant classic featuring the legendary, Zapp, (“Computer Love”, “I Want To Be Your Man”). With its infectious musical energy and its contagious melodic hook, Ms. Perfection is the definition of a “feel-good” song. This funky jam will surely make you dance, but it will also remind you that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. As Garrett says in the chorus,  “Go ‘head and work it. You’re already perfect, yeah!”

Garrett’s humble journey took flight in Birmingham, AL as the bassist and musical director for American Idol winner, Ruben Studdard.  Since then, he’s evolved into an award-winning songwriter, producer, and solo recording artist.  Because of the inspiring soul-filled messages layered within his songs, many have dubbed Alvin Garrett the “R&B Reverend,” reminiscent of the iconic Al Green and Sam Cooke. Garrett’s signature sound and inspiring penmanship are powerfully displayed in his debut single, “By Myself,” which made waves across Urban AC, Gospel, and Blues radio.

This theme is also present in the chart-topping singles written for R&B singer, Joe (“I’d Rather Have A Love”, “Love & Sex” featuring Fantasia, “Love & Sex Pt. 2” featuring Kelly Rowland, and “If You Lose Her”). Alvin Garrett’s catalog includes songs written for and performed by Johnny Gill, The Bar-Kays, Maroon 5’s PJ Morton, Jordan Knight, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, Deitrick Haddon and many more.  Alvin’s pen has earned him a Grammy Nomination, a Soul Train Music Award, and a Stellar Award.

Get ready! This hot new jam is sure to have ladies everywhere proclaiming #IAmMsPerfection. Although Alvin Garrett made a resounding impression with, “By Myself,” he is poised to climb even higher with this new tune featuring Zapp.

Ms. Perfection is also the lead single for Garrett’s upcoming 2017 album release.
